Our Founder
Daniel Jones, PhD
Daniel is a British Mathematics Professor who specialises in Game Theory, the mathematics of strategy and decision-making.
Over the past decade, he has lectured to thousands of students worldwide and published research across multiple mathematical fields, including work on game theory, max-plus algebra, optimisation and education.
As a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), Daniel is internationally recognised for his dedication to teaching excellence and inclusivity.
He has worked closely with students needing additional support, ensuring they receive the tools and confidence to succeed — a philosophy he brings to Game Knight Pro.
Daniel’s passions extend beyond the classroom.
- He plays competitive chess, with a peak chess.com rapid rating of 2015, and dreams of becoming a master one day.
- His favourite chess opening right now? The Grand Prix attack.
- He also loves applying Game Theory and advanced exploitative strategies to Poker, a game he plays semi-professionally.
Through Game Knight Pro, Daniel combines his academic expertise and passion for games to help others enhance their skills, think strategically, and discover joy in gaming.
